Is new flooring worth it before you sell?

Not always, and we'll tell you honestly. Sometimes a steam clean is enough. Replacement usually pays off when carpet is stained, worn through in walkways, holds smoke or pet odours, or doesn't match from room to room. Dated or damaged floors show up badly in listing photos, and buyers price that in.

We look at the floors as part of your free property scope and tell you what to fix, what to flag and what to forget.
 

Carpet

New carpet is the quickest way to make bedrooms look fresh and cared for. We supply mid-range carpet in neutral colours that suit most buyers and tenants, with new underlay included.

Replacing carpet in only some rooms? We match the colour and undertone to the carpet you're keeping, so the house still looks finished.
 

Hybrid flooring

Hybrid gives you the timber look with a rigid, waterproof core. It resists scratches and dents, and it won't swell or warp with moisture the way laminate can. It's a strong choice for living areas, kitchens and rental properties that need to stand up to wear.

Hybrid also installs quickly, which helps on a tight campaign or lease timeline.

Common questions

Should I replace carpet before selling?
If it's stained, worn, smells or looks dated in photos, usually yes. If it's in good condition, a professional clean may be all it needs. We'll tell you which at the scope.

Carpet or hybrid for a rental?
Hybrid generally lasts longer in living areas and is easier to keep clean between tenants. Carpet is still popular in bedrooms. We'll recommend what suits the property.

Do you take away the old flooring?
Yes. Removal and disposal of the old flooring is included in your quote.​
